Oooh ... OK, let's see if I can do steps for this... 1. HTML/CSS: To be able to do a good layout, you have to have a pretty good grasp of HTML, and then CSS if you're willing to learn. www.lissaexplains.com can help with HTML and CSS, then to learn more I just fiddled with Frontpage (and still do) XD Some important things you might want to learn (if ya don't know 'em already): iframes Frames External style sheets 2. Graphics: Along with knowing HTML/CSS you have to be able to make good graphics. - Have a graphics program (I suggest Paint Shop Pro, you can download a trial here - www.jasc.com, and then there is a patch you can get for that trial to last forever). - Learn how to use your graphics program: there are tutorials all over the internet, just go to google and search for "paint shop pro 9 tutorial" or something. www.starrlight.net/<-- that site has some good tutorials, if you find anymore PM the links, lol, I'm sadly lacking in PSP tutorials. - Then, be creative, and make your layout. :3 Image mappingThe good thing about PSP is that it can also help you make an image map (another thing you wanted to know). - First, make your image. - Then go to File --> Export --> Image Mapper. - Use the shape tools to draw the clickable area, then fill in the URL, Alt text (the text you see when you hover over an image) and Target (if necessary -- targeting a frame/iframe). - Save it as a .html, then you can grab the HTML for it and place the image map whereever you want! I hope you understood this, lol. If you still need help feel free to PM me!

When you lick a link on the left of Amnezia it opens up a whole new page into that square frame, on that page I just link some text to the next pages. I just remodelled so now I have images on those pages linking to the next pages... if that makes sense! I use Iframing, which isn't the easiest of things to do. The navigation on the left of Amnezia is actually one big picture, it uses Image Mapping to select small areas of the image to link to certain pages when clicked on.
