My most favourite pet ever was Black Jack my guinea pig. It was his Death Day today, as some of you have probably seen his name on my screen name here. Well it's what I call a mark of respect.
Picture 1;
Pirate hid behind his mum, like she was protecting him instead of Black Jack.... Or just that Black Jack was brave to have his photo taken when he was a baby.
Picture 2;
Pirate is the white one, and Black Jack is the black one...
The pictures aren't very clear because I took photos of my original photos, I haven't got a scanner. They aren't orange in real life either, a creamy very light brown, it's just the light that's affected the pictures. My friend took the photos when they were babies. I only got them when they were about 6 weeks old.
He was mostly black, but was white and coppery brown in places. My friend is a guinea pig breeder and I went to see her new baby guinea pigs a few years ago. There were 2, a white one and a mainly black one. I loved the blacky one and went to see him often and said to my friend how much I loved him. Come my 11th birthday my friend comes in with a box which I opened, and there he was, with his brother, the white coloured one.
Black Jack only lasted 7 months.
Here is a poem I wrote after that terrible day, it should tell you all about it.....
~Life is too short~
You may think that I am wrong,
But think about what the poem might mean,
So listen carefully with your friends,
Even if you're not very keen.
It started on my birthday,
When two guinea pigs were a suprise,
It all went along to perfectly,
But then I opened my eyes.
My dad came into my room,
At five 'o' clock in the morn,
For Black Jack had just died,
From then on my life was torn.
So know I come to say,
Life is too short so play,
With your pets each day,
Because you'll never know the day,
When your pets will pass away....
I'd be so grateful for messages here. So thankyou for the respect and for reading this.
Best wishes to all of you who have had a pet as shortly as I have xXxXx
